In a world where people and cultures meet and create together, beautiful new designs are emerging, reflecting multicultural heritage and craftsmanship. We love designs that arise from an intercultural society. Especially when these products are also made with great respect for people and nature.
Tapestry series for Nani Marquina
With the Losanges collection, the Bouroullec brothers continue their studies on simplicity and elegance. This time they give a new interpretation to the traditional Persian rug using ancient kilim techniques. Due to the technical complexity and the combination of 13 colors in a diamond geometric pattern, the Losanges collection requires a lot of skill from the experienced weavers of northern Pakistan. In addition to traditional techniques, Afghan wool is also hand spun to achieve unique color shades and thus give each diamond a different appearance and create truly unique rugs.
